This past week, the Partnership joined Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) from across our 10-county region in Park City to share insights, strengthen connections and advance regional economic growth.

The meeting included a presentation from the South Central Kansas Economic Development District - SCKEDD highlighting small business and financial resources and programs available to support businesses and communities across the region.

Together, we’re driving the greater Wichita region forward.

The Partnership brought investors together on Aug. 20 at INTRUST Bank Arena for an Investor Meeting and summer social.

The event highlighted progress across the Partnership’s three strategic priorities: Jobs, Talent and Quality of Place.

A common theme emerged at the meeting: vision becomes reality when the community works together to make it happen.

The places where people live, work, gather and spend time play an important role in attracting and retaining talent, supporting business growth and creating a community where people want to build their future.

This week, Downtown Wichita released a community vision for Wichita's urban core, the Downtown Wichita Action Plan.

Shaped by input from more than 1,000 Wichitans, the plan outlines priorities for the next decade, from embracing the Arkansas River and great design to expanding opportunities to live, work and gather downtown. With several priorities already underway, the Action Plan will guide continued growth in the heart of our region.
