Looking back at the incredible energy from last year's 9th annual Golf Classic has us counting down the days until we hit the green again! From the incredible community turnout to the friendly competition on the course, it was an unforgettable day of golf and change.

But this year? We are turning it up a notch.

We are heading back to Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, KS on September 11, for our landmark 10th Anniversary McAdams Academy Golf Classic!

McAdams Connect: Celebrating a Great Year

Our final week before summer break was packed with fun activities, heartfelt goodbyes, and wonderful memories!

We wrapped up our favorite weekly traditions with final visits from our creative jewelry maker, Ginger (and her sidekick Cooper), as well as Pastor Pete and Tim from Glenn Park Church for our last Chapel. We are so incredibly grateful for the time, mentorship, and energy these amazing volunteers have invested in our students all year long!

The excitement continued with a special guest, Arlan, who hosted the very first McAdams-wide foosball tournament! The winning team earned a delicious celebratory lunch of their choosing; which for our winning team was Wingstop!

We also closed out the year with a trip to the park for a picnic, shooting off bottle rockets, and spirited games of football, kickball, and soccer. After the park our students shifted back to McAdams to make a massive school-wide mess, including a smash-the-egg game (where our students tested their luck in picking a hard-boiled egg and not a runny one), a massive water balloon fight, and everyone's favorite tradition: Pie a Teacher! This year, the students clearly coordinated their targets, with almost everyone lining up to go after our newest teacher, Shane!

Thank you to our incredible students for your hard work, dedication, and all the memories you brought to McAdams Academy this year. Have a safe and wonderful summer!

McAdams Connect: Capturing Success One Week at a Time

Last week, we celebrated the upcoming end of the school year with one of our students' absolute favorite field trips: our McAdams cookout at the home of our Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Chuck Knowles!

It was a beautiful day spent cooking hot dogs, roasting marshmallows for s'mores, playing backyard games, and relaxing around the campfire. Our student's have worked incredibly hard this year, and being able to celebrate their accomplishments in this way is exactly what creates the unique "family feel" we cherish so deeply at McAdams Academy.

The fun continued with our students making their own custom tie-dye shirts for Spirit Week! The creativity was flowing, and everyone had a blast designing their own unique shirt. Be sure to stay tuned for our McAdams Connect next week to see how the shirts turned out!

McAdams Student Success:

When one of our students started his junior year with us, he had only 4 credits. The mountain seemed too steep to climb.

But he was driven.

Just 1.5 years later, he accumulated 27 credits and graduated a full semester early.

This is what happens when a community refuses to give up on a student. For 10 years, the McAdams Academy Golf Classic has been an engine helping to fund these exact breakthroughs. Every team registered and every sponsor who steps up directly fuels these life-changing transformations.
