To celebrate our members, we hosted a lovely party following our Chapter meeting on March 27, 2026. The décor was cherry blossom themed, featuring cherry blossom bouquets and a cherry blossom cake. 🌸 Members were encouraged to wear pink or white.

We were also delighted to install our newest member, Patricia Johnson—welcome to the chapter!

Our meeting program highlighted the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., connecting us to this beloved national tradition.

In addition, our chapter proudly voted to sponsor a cherry tree at Botanica in Wichita in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, commemorating this historic milestone right here in our local community. 🌳🇺🇸

We had such a wonderful time representing the Eunice Sterling Chapter NSDAR and partnering with Martha Loving Ferrell Chapter, NSDAR at the Community Resource Fair hosted by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce and the Wellington Public Library.

With more than 35 booths, the event brought together an incredible variety of organizations—from healthcare providers and workforce resources to the Wellington Humane Society, local American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our community, share what we do, and learn about the many resources available right here in Wellington. Events like this truly highlight the strength and spirit of our community—all in one place!

What an awesome day for Eunice Sterling Chapter, NSDAR! 🇺🇸

We kicked things off at the Candle Club for our October luncheon, Halloween treat bag stuffing, and a fantastic program by guest speaker Ken Spurgeon — thank you so much for sharing your time and love of history with us!

We then wrapped up the evening in spooky style by hosting a “trunk” at the McConnell Air Force Base Trunk-or-Treat and Halloween Spooktacular! 👻🍬 Big thanks to McConnell AFB for inviting us to be part of such a fun community event for military members and their families!

Such a great day filled with fellowship, service, and a little Halloween spirit!

🌟 Celebrating 135 Years of Service! 🌟

This year marks the 135th anniversary of the Daughters of the American Revolution National Headquarters (DAR) and the 10th anniversary of the National DAR Day of Service! 🇺🇸

In honor of this milestone, members of the Eunice Sterling Chapter installed new signage at Wichita Cowtown Museum historic Munger House and gave the interior a good cleaning. 🧽✨

We’re proud to continue the DAR legacy of preserving history, promoting education, and serving our communities — just as our founders envisioned 135 years ago. 💙

📜🇺🇸 Happy Constitution Day! 🇺🇸📜

Today we celebrate the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787. This remarkable document established the framework of our government and secured the guiding principles of liberty, justice, and democracy that we continue to uphold today.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and honor the vision of the Founding Fathers who created the foundation of our nation. 💙❤️

🇺🇸📜 This evening at Mulvane City Hall, we were honored to accept a Constitution Week Proclamation signed by Mayor Allen. Constitution Week (September 17–23) commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution and reminds us of the importance of our freedoms and responsibilities as citizens.

Thank you to the City of Mulvane for recognizing this important week in our nation’s history!

During our last meeting of the Chapter year, we hosted a Committee Fair & Social for members to learn about the many opportunities to serve with DAR!

If you are a women (18 years or older) with an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence and are interested in joining DAR, we would love for you to meet our members and learn more about DAR and the impact we have on the community!

The Eunice Sterling Chapter is the oldest DAR Chapter in Wichita and will be celebrating 130 years of service in 2026!

We meet over the lunch hour on the 4th Friday of most months (Sept - May) and offer an online option to attend our meetings, as well as recorded sessions for those unable to attend in person.

To learn more, please reach out to Chapter Regent Mary Ayers at [email protected].
