Dr. Share is the Assistant General Manager of Engineering at Panasonic Energy of
North America (PENA). His topic centers on Panasonic’s history and future of lithium
ion battery technology.

Bio: Keith Share is Assistant General Manager of Engineering at Panasonic Energy of
North America (PENA). His team is based out of PENA’s lithium-ion battery
manufacturing facility in Sparks, NV, where he oversees introducing new cell
technologies, defect reduction, and implementing new materials into mass production.
During his 5 years at PENA he has seen over 6 billion cells produced and received
Panasonic’s President’s Award for helping lead the implementation of new cell
technology.
Before working at PENA, Keith did his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at
Vanderbilt University where he studied alternative ion batteries such as sodium and
potassium. His focus was understanding storage mechanisms to engineer materials with
higher energy and faster charging capability.
