Love is love. No exceptions. 🌈

This Pride Month, we celebrate love in all its forms and honor the courage of LGBTQ+ individuals around the world. As we celebrate, we also remember that many members of the vulnerable communities we serve were forced to flee their homes because of who they love or how they identify. They faced persecution, discrimination, and violence simply for being themselves.

At the IRC, we are committed to helping create a future where everyone can live safely, openly, and with dignity. This Pride Month and every month, we stand with our clients, lift up their stories, and remind them—and the world—that love is love. ❤️

We’re excited to introduce Sierra Brown as our June Employee of the Month! 🌼

🌼What inspired you to join the IRC?

I was inspired to join the IRC simply because of its mission to help those who have been displaced by conflict and disaster and gain control of their future.

🌼Can you share a memorable moment or story from your time working with IRC?

A memorable moment was working with the Mosque for food delivery donations. Although not directly apart of my role, I was able to volunteer for two separate distributions and one of those was during the Eid. It meant a lot to help bring a little joy of the holiday and ease the burden of food to the communities we serve.

🌼What do you enjoy most about working with your team?

On my team I enjoy working collaboratively to provide materials and solutions that help support our programs so that our office can best serve our clients.
