EARLY HEAD START
OPEN HOUSE/OPEN ENROLLMENT!
When: TUESDAY, April 21, from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Where: Wakeman Center (1201 E. Scott Ave.)

EHS WF is hosting an open house event on Tuesday, April 21, from 5-7 pm to kick off our yearly recruitment drive for the 2026-27 school year. We will be able to accept applications for pregnant women, and children 0-3 years of age, for our home-based and center-based programs.
EHS is a federally funded, income-based Early Childhood Education program. Our goal is to promote children’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth, support family well-being, and foster school readiness.
Please bring the documents listed below to start the eligibility/enrollment process:

• Income Tax Return from previous year, W-2, 2-3 check stubs, or employer letter (whichever most accurately reflects your current income). -If both parents are working and living in same household, we will need income verification for both-
• Proof of Pregnancy (statement from doctor/Medicaid)
• Child’s Birth Certificate (the hospital copy is acceptable)
• Most current shot record
• Child’s Medicaid or Private Insurance
• Copy of TANF, SSI, SNAP, child support income, or unemployment. (bring in a printout from the office you receive the income from if this applies to you).
• Copy of Admission to school if parent(s) attend school
• Copy of Grant(s) awarded if received for parent(s) to attend school
• Copy of ID/Driver’s License

The open house will be a great opportunity for prospective parents to speak with staff about the program and how it works, to see our facilities, and learn about the services we provide.
