While Breast Cancer Awareness is recognized all month long, today we want to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Day by introducing you to Alexis.💪🏼🩷
In April 2026, Alexis was diagnosed with stage 4 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Facing a cancer diagnosis as a single mom of three young children (ages 8, 7, and 3) was terrifying. But Alexis didn’t have to go through it alone. Shortly after her diagnosis, she met Joe, the love of her life, and they were married on September 18, 2026.
"He was definitely the calm after the storm. He has been my rock through this cancer and helped me stay strong. He helps raise kids he didn’t make, and he encouraged me to finish nursing school."
With Joe’s unwavering support, Alexis is on track to graduate nursing school in early 2027. Lifesaving blood donors have also played a crucial role in supporting her through chemotherapy.
