Friends Of The Wichita Falls Public Library Location: The Friends of the Library Book Warehouse is at 3124 Seymour Highway in front of FreMar Valley U. S. 277) west of downtown. Mon-Fri & 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sat.

Location: The Friends of the Library book store is now at 3124 Seymour Highway (Bus. Our brick building, trimmed in yellow, is in front of Fre-Mar Valley office and shop complex. Soon to be open 10 a.m.-1 pm.

Saturday, 6 June is our next traditional HALF-PRICE SALE. Today, we took in 50+ boxes of donated books. Ten of them are already open in front of the children's corner. Friday, we will put out some more for your browsing pleasure. Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you all.
First, I would like to thank the anonymous donor who left $7.00 tucked in our front door. We appreciate your donation. Every dollar helps us pay the bills, such as the electric service.
Secondly, we have a pair of photographs from donated books. We were able to return the previous found photo to the rightful family which makes us very happy.

The Friends of the Library Book Warehouse is open today, 23 May 2026 until 1 p.m., but will be closed Monday 25 May for Memorial Day. The Friends Book Warehouse will almost always close on Federal holidays because the USPS is not accepting mail (and we sell on ebay and ship by mail). Please do come by and check out the free audio books. There are thousands from which to choose and they will be free only thru the remainder of May.

Someone took one of our few, precious shopping baskets that say "Friends of the Wichita Falls Public Library" on the sides. Inside the cover of an old cook book were three pictures from March 1986. Recognize anyone? If these are pictures of your family, they are available for pickup Mon-Sat 9-1 at 3124 Seymour Hwy. As of Friday 1 May, all Audio Books are FREE. We have an unbelievable volume of donated audio books and wish to share the good fortune with our Friends. Read with your ears, not your hands! Also, Saturday, 2 May is our traditional HALF-PRICE SALE on all books, CDs, DVDs, and BluRays. As usual, books for children, audio cassettes, video cassettes, LP Records, and magazines are FREE.

Please tell your friends and neighbors, and share this message. We still cannot afford to advertise in commercial (and expensive) ways. You can really help us survive financially by sharing our message of Family Literacy. Happy Reading and Great Listening!

Rain or shine, the Friends Book Warehouse is here for you and all your family. We are getting the reputation of being one of the better-kept secrets in Wichita Falls because we cannot afford to advertise commercially. Therefore, we ask that you share the word and posts of the Friends of the Wichita Falls Public Library, and the Friends Book Warehouse, because we have so much to offer but so few people visit and we want to help with information, inspiration, and entertainment, much of which is FREE. That FREE includes books for children and youth, audio cassettes, video cassettes, LP Recordings, magazines of all kinds, and lightweight cookbooks.
