Every year our club commits to providing the concession stand services for the YMCA baseball games held at Kiwanis Park. Everyone pitches in and we get some needed assistance from Key Club members from Legacy and Memorial High Schools.

We finally wrapped up the season and here's a picture of Club Secretary Susan Marrs locking up. She puts in many hours maintaining the concession stand inventory as well as working shifts to serve the hungry attendees. Thank you Susan!

Our Club is exploring the possibility of hosting a Texas-Oklahoma District convention in 2028 in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Wichita Falls.

We're going to be looking for community support on a few levels including business sponsorships, and things like graphics, flowers and decorations.

It's likely that we'll be providing space for vendors at this three day event.

We're also going to try to enlist a Keynote Speaker that would be interesting to the general public.

This is a great opportunity for our Club and the city.

If you have any ideas or suggestions or can help us out, please contact us as [email protected] (that stands for University Kiwanis of Wichita Falls, Texas)

Every year the Key Clubs have a convention and we're fortunate to be hosting it in Wichita Falls this year. This registration only convention is called LECON (Leadership and Education District Conference) and we're expecting almost 700 Key Clubbers from the Texas-Oklahoma District!

The Keynote Speaker is Miss Oklahoma 2025, Tessa Dorrell and she will no doubt help inspire these young future leaders!

It is a closed event but here's the schedule if you're curios about what these students will be up to.

On Thursday James "Big Jim" Russell is planning on an interview at 11:00 am. KAUZ will be there with the camera on Friday, maybe it'll air with the evening news.

Cathy Dodson is the Kiwanis Advisor for Legacy High School and Greg Randolph is the Kiwanis Advisor for Memorial High School. They're doing a great job with the students who are required to put in service hours for the community to remain in good standing.
