🚔🚨 Touch A Truck was a success! 🚨🚔

Our Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Explorers had a great time at Touch A Truck at the Wichita Falls Public Library!

Our Explorers handed out lots of goodies to the kiddos, sold delicious popcorn to support their fundraiser 🍿, and gave the kids a chance to check out the Sheriff’s Office patrol units, vest, and shield up close!

Thank you to everyone who came and helped make this event a success! We love getting out into the community, connecting with local families, and inspiring the next generation!

Tonight, our Explorers briefly covered ethics in law enforcement and discussed different career opportunities within the field. Ethics and integrity are an important part of being a successful law enforcement professional, and we’ll continue building on these topics in future meetings.

We finished the night with some physical fitness training, focusing on strength, endurance, and teamwork!

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET | SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

For many of today’s youth, September 11 is something they learn about in history books — but for those who lived through it, it is a day they will never forget.

Today, we made an assessment for our Explorers to take time to learn about the events of 9/11, hear the personal stories of family members, and better understand the courage and sacrifice shown by first responders that day.

Understanding our history helps us appreciate the responsibility that comes with choosing a life of service, leadership, and helping others.

We remember the lives lost. We honor the heroes who answered the call. And we teach the next generation to Never Forget.

Learn. Lead. Serve.
