Who we are:::

The American War Mothers was founded in 1917 and was incorporated by an Act of Congress February 24, 1925. We are a perpetual patriotic, 501(c) 4 non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian, non-partisan organization whose members are Mothers/Grandmothers of children who have served or are serving in the Armed Services during a time of conflict. On the 1st Sunday of EVERY MONTH, our gr

oup travels to the Long Beach VA hospital - to bring a home cooked meal & to visit with veterans who are staying at the hospital. Although our organization only allows the Mothers/Grandmothers to officially join...we encourage ANYONE who wants to come and spend a few hours a month to come with us for the luncheon.
