UPDATE: The Whittier power outage will be closer to 5 pm today.

UPDATE: The planned outage is expected to begin at 3:40 pm and will last approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

WHITTIER POWER OUTAGE: There is a scheduled power outage in Whittier today from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. Crews need to de-energize the lines to safely complete some maintenance work. Whittier residents have been notified via automated phone calls and emails to key assets such as the tunnel and the harbor. Thank you for your understanding as we get this work done.

The outage could be shorter, but we plan for a bigger window in case the crews run into any unforeseen complications in the field.
