Whittier Time Bank

Whittier Time Bank Help build community self-reliance! Join our email list to hear about upcoming Build-Your-Skills workshops, farm events, and the Neighborhood Work Exchange.

The Neighborhood Work Exchange is a group of volunteers who earn service credits (called time dollars) for providing neighborly services. For every hour you help a neighbor, you earn a time dollar. Then you can use that time dollar to hire any of hundreds of neighbors to help with a ride to the airport, child care or gardening. Time dollars can also be used to get your car fixed, design a website

or engage a lawyer. Every hour is valued equally; one hour equals one time dollar. Neighborhood Work Exchange members have organized barn-raisers, moving days, workshops, craft days, and free swaps, in addition to one-on-one exchanges. Share your skills, help your neighbors, and earn time dollars! For examples of the kinds of skills you might offer or request through the time bank, see our Skills Matrix: https://docs.google.com/document/edit?id=1fVXhRjPZIeW6DhxBsZQrFPbbB6nIpCOfegnPbvQap2U&hl=en #
