What do you get when you combine mulch, w**ds, stain, soap, sunshine, and a whole lot of good people? A pretty great Saturday at Peacehaven! šŸŒ±

Last weekendā€™s Garden Workday brought together friends old and new to w**d garden beds, spread mulch, stain the deck, give the Sprinter a much-needed bath, and share plenty of laughs along the way. The Farm looks a little better because of the work that was done, but the real magic was found in the conversations, connections, and community that grew alongside it.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped make our little corner of the world a little more beautiful.

Some gifts are measured in dollars. Others are measured in thought, time, talent, and love.

This weekend, our friend Ed Rodriguez traveled all the way from California, joined us for Garden Workday, and unveiled something truly extraordinary: a one-of-one stained glass interpretation of the Peacehaven logo that he and a friend handcrafted and shipped across the country.

For a week, the piece sat patiently waiting at the Farm. We couldnā€™t open it until Ed arrived in person. And when the moment finally came, it was worth every bit of the anticipation.

The craftsmanship is remarkable. The generosity behind it is even more so.

Tomorrow is our June Garden Workday at Peacehaven!

A quick reminder: according to science, June in North Carolina is basically the atmosphere giving you a bearhug you didnā€™t ask for. Itā€™s going to be warm, so bring a water bottle filled with plenty of ice water- (we'll have backup). Future You will be grateful that Present You made such wise hydration choices.

Weā€™ll work, laugh, sweat a little, grow some good things, and spend a morning together on the Farm. Come dressed for the weather, bring your favorite reusable water bottle, and weā€™ll take care of the watermelon.

We think that a day spent with your hands in the soil and your heart set on helping others is pretty great.

This weekend, we were honored to welcome volunteers from Greensboroā€™s Jewish community as part of Mitzvah Day; a day dedicated to acts of kindness, service, and social responsibility. Rooted in the value of Tikkun Olam (Hebrew: ×Ŗיקון עולם or ā€œrepairing the worldā€), these volunteers rolled up their sleeves to clear the greenhouse, organize equipment, and care for our gardens and flowerbeds.

The world is rarely repaired through grand gestures alone. More often, it happens one flowerbed, one helping hand, one shared afternoon at a time.

To everyone who joined us: thank you for helping cultivate a place where people of all abilities can learn, grow, work, and belong. Together, you made the Farm a little more beautiful and the world a little more whole.
