Whitney has the best volunteers!

Sometimes, care goes beyond the meal.

Today, one of our Whitney volunteers quietly stepped in to help a neighbor in a moment of need. After recently losing his wife, one of our clients has been navigating grief while also caring for Beau, his beloved dog, who began having mobility issues.

Feeling overwhelmed, he shared what was going on -- and without hesitation, our volunteer offered to help. She took Beau to the vet and made sure he got the care he needed.

We’re happy to share that the visit went well, and this sweet pup is now on the mend. 🐾

It’s acts like these -- often unseen and done without recognition -- that truly define what this work is all about. Compassion. Community. Showing up when it matters most.

We’ve got some very grateful pups… and some slightly offended cats 🐱 🤨

Our shelves are full of dog food (thank you!! 🐶💛), but we’re running low on cat food and cat litter.

If you’re able to help, we’d love donations of: cat food (wet or dry) and cat litter.

Every donation helps us care for the beloved pets of the seniors we serve — because full bowls = happy homes 🥰

You can drop off your donations at 501 West Waco Drive, between 8:30 am-3:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Thank you for showing love to ALL our four-legged friends! 🐾
