R.E.D. Friday – A Message from the Heart ❤️

For years I’ve worn RED with purpose.
Not for likes. Not for trends.
But to Remember Everyone Deployed and to serve our military families with real action.

Lately, my heart is heavy.

Our logo has been stolen and used by many for emotional branding — without permission, without acknowledgment, without support for the mission behind it.
Some have participated only when it was convenient.
Some accepted kindness, support, visibility… and never once said thank you or showed up when it mattered.

This mission is not a costume.
It is not a marketing tool.
It is built on sacrifice, consistency, and love for those who serve.

To be honest — social media restrictions, losing my Instagram, and being silenced while trying to do good has taken a toll on me. I won’t hide that.
When you truly try to make a difference, and feel like forces are working to shut you down, it can break your spirit.

But I am still here.
Still standing.
Still wearing RED.

Because our troops deserve more than silence.
They deserve loyalty.
They deserve action.

If you believe in this mission, I need you now more than ever — not just in words, but in support, shares, and standing with integrity.

Thank you to those who have stayed real.
You are the reason I haven’t given up. ❤️

Have a blessed R.E.D. Friday 🇺🇸🎗️

🇺🇲WWII uncovered: Go For Broke: The 442nd Regimental Combat Team: Saving the Lost Battalion

"Tired frontline infantrymen from the "Lost Battalion" cut off by the Germans for six days in the Belmont sector of France warm themselves around a fire while waiting for transportation to the rear for a rest on 31 October, 1944." - US Signal Corps Archive

The Lost Battalion refers to the 1st Battalion, 141st Infantry, 36th Infantry Division, originally a Texas National Guard unit.

After several failed attempts the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a segregated unit composed of Nisei (second-generation Japanese Americans) stepped up and gave their all to successfully rescue the men.

In five days of battle, from 26 to 30 October 1944, the 442nd broke through German defenses and rescued 211 men. The 442nd suffered over 800 casualties. In 1962, Texas Governor John Connally made the veterans of the 442nd "honorary Texans" for their role in the rescue of the Lost Battalion.

According to the Honolulu Star: " Barney Hajiro, James Okubo, and George Sakato, were originally awarded lesser medals; in 2000, they were upgraded to the Medal of Honor, with Okubo, who died in 1967, receiving his medal posthumously. Later in 2010 the men of the 442nd were finally acknowledged for their valor with the Congressional Gold Medal."

The 442nd is recognized as the most decorated unit in US military history for its size and length of service, with over 14,000 awards, including over 4,000 Purple Hearts.

🇺🇲WWII uncovered: Henry Fonda of the US Navy: Veteran of D-Day and Iwo Jima Honored with the Bronze Star

Henry Fonda had already established his career as a successful actor coming off of an Academy Award nomination for the classic "The Grapes of Wrath" when he enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 37 on August 22, 1942.

According to the National World War II Museum: "After basic training, Fonda went to Quartermaster School, graduating in the top 10 of his class of 200. He was briefly assigned to the destroyer USS Satterlee (DD-626) as Quartermaster Third Class. Less than a year after enlisting, Fonda underwent the application process to become an officer. Due to his age (he was 38) Fonda was commissioned at the rank of Lieutenant, Junior Grade, instead of Ensign.

According to his biography Fonda wanted to serve because he “didn’t want to be a fake in the war studio.” On D-Day, he gave support to the Allies by serving as Quartermaster on the destroyer USS Satterlee. In the first week of May 1944, Satterlee underwent training for a special mission assigned to her for the Normandy landings. She was to support a unit of 200 Army Rangers in eliminating a German gun battery at Pointe du Hoc which commanded the Omaha landing beaches. After escorting minesweepers to the beach area on the night of 5 and 6 June, she commenced pre-arranged fire on Pointe du Hoc at 05:48, 6 June. As the Rangers landed, she broke up enemy units attempting to oppose them from the top of the cliff. - Naval History and Heritage Command

After receiving a commission, Fonda became an Assistant Air Combat Information Officer and Air Operations Watch Officer in the Pacific Theater. In this role Fonda assisted in the planning and ex*****on of air operations for the Marianas, Western Carolines, and Iwo Jima campaigns. For his involvement in the air operations in those campaigns, Fonda was awarded a Bronze Star. Although Fonda left active duty in November 1945, he remained a reserve officer until his resignation in 1948 because he was “overage in rank.” Despite being overage in rank to remain a naval reserve officer, Fonda would go on to portray a military officer in not only Mister Roberts, but also in iconic World War II films such as: Battle of the Bulge, Midway, and The Longest Day - two of which are pictured below" - National World War II Museum

Henry Fonda passed away on August 12, 1982 at the age of 77.
