WP Eagles Nest Music Boosters

Today, the high school band and chorus invited all 7th and 8th grade band and chorus members to join us for a day of music making! The day included combined rehearsals, performances, masterclasses with local professionals (including Mrs. Pullen and Mr. Matthews's old teachers!), and more.

We're so grateful to be able to create these experiences for the kids. Such a fun day!

We wrapped up a busy year of events today! The 7th and 8th grade band and chorus went to Hershey Park to compete in the Music in the Parks Festival.

The 7/8 Concert Band took home a 2nd place finish with Excellent ratings!

The 7/8 Concert Chorus took home a 3rd place finish with Good ratings! In addition, Autumn Sherwood won Outstanding Individual Vocalist!

On Memorial Day, the Eagles Marching Band performed in both the Lisle and Whitney Point Parades. Check out the photo album below!

It's that time of year again, The Ice Cream Social is happening this Wednesday! This is the Music Boosters main fundraiser that helps us support the Music Department at WPCSD in many ways--including purchasing recorders for all 3rd grade students so they can keep them at the end of the year, providing food for events such as Christmas Winds and Band Camp, and sponsoring students at various competition trips.

The Ice Cream Social is a fun way for all of the music groups to perform for everyone and for us to fund raise through the sale of drinks, burgers, hot dogs, snacks, and, of course, ICE CREAM!!
