🚨 Important for Our Community – Please Read 🚨
Neighbors,
This Tuesday, May 5th, we have a critical Town Meeting vote that directly impacts all of us.
There is an article on the warrant to approve final funding for the new Senior Center/Community Center.
👉 Here’s the bottom line:
• The town has already approved the main funding for this project.
• This vote is to approve the remaining funds needed to move forward with construction.
• This is NOT a new tax increase. The funding comes from existing “free cash” (unused funds already in the town’s budget), not from raising property taxes.
• If this article passes, the project moves ahead.
• If it fails, the project will be scaled back—meaning fewer services, less space, and fewer opportunities for our community.
This isn’t just a building.
It’s a place for:
✔ Programs and activities
✔ Social connection
✔ Health, wellness, and support services
✔ A stronger, more connected community for all of us
The town has worked hard to keep costs down and use funding responsibly. Now we’re at the final step.
