Meet Weasel – a tiny powerhouse with a big brain and even bigger personality!

At just about 1.5 years old and a compact 9 pounds, Weasel is proof that great things come in small packages. This little guy is exceptionally smart and already has an impressive training resume. His foster mom has been working closely with him, and he can close doors, play a kiddie piano, jump through hoops, weave poles like an agility pro, sit, give paw, and even “play dead” when you say bang. He learns fast, loves a challenge, and clearly thrives when his brain is engaged.

Weasel would be an amazing match for someone who enjoys dog training, agility, trick work, or enrichment games. He’s the kind of dog who wants a job and shines when he has one. While he gets along well with other dogs, he does have a sassy streak and a confident, strong personality—so he’ll do best with a human who understands leadership, consistency, and clear boundaries. With the right guidance, he’s an absolute star.
If you’re looking for a highly trainable, fun, athletic little dog who will keep you on your toes and make you proud in the training ring (or your living room), Weasel might just be your perfect partner.
He’s fostered in Felton, PA and he wants a fenced in yard 🐾🐶🦴❤️

Fleur update…

She is recovering very well!

After having been on strict crate rest for a few weeks, she is now walking and her leg is getting stronger every day.

She is the sweetest dog and we are so happy that we were able to do this for her.

Fleur’s surgery cost $5,000. Even a small donation can make a significant difference.

Fleur update…

These pictures were taken after her surgery as she was waking up from anesthesia.

They’re very pleased with how well she is doing.

She has a metal plate holding her femor in place as everything heals.

She’ll be on crate rest with limited movement for a while. This part is especially difficult. As the days go by and she’s feeling better, she wants to run and jump and she absolutely cannot. She needs complete crate rest so her leg can fully heal.

Thank you all for following Fleur’s story. We’ll provide more pictures and updates as we go along.

Fleur is out of surgery!

The orthopedic surgeon said Fleur did really well. An x-ray confirmed that her femur is now straight and her kneecap is in place.

She has five follow-up appts over the next 11 weeks! The first one is a week after the surgery, then at 3 weeks, 5 weeks, 7 weeks and 11 weeks.

Please follow for updates and pictures. We will continue to share how Fleur is doing over the next few months as she heals, recuperates and gets stronger.

Fleur update...

Fleur's operation on her back right femur and patella is today.

We received a call at 1:30p letting us know that she was being wheeled into surgery.

It's been 3 1/2 hours so far. They said they would call us when she was out of surgery. We're axiously waiting for that call.

This is FLEUR, which is French for Flower. 🌷

Fleur was born with a curved femur which caused her to be extremely bow-legged and it has contributed to a severely luxated patella. Luxating patella are common in Yorkies but in Fleur's case, it has a bad effect on her gait so after a consult with an orthopedic doctor, she is scheduled for surgery on May 29th.

Fleur's surgery will cost around $5,000.

Fleur has the most amazing personality. She is sweet and loving. If you are able to make a donation toward her surgery, our rescue and Fleur would greatly appreciate it. No donation is too small. Every little bit will help with this extremely expensive surgery. Thank you!
