What does it take to make a huge pile of bagged leaves?? That is easy! 50 great kids, a bunch of rakes and bags, and a carload of pizzas. The Whitewater Lions Club was swarmed by 39 members of the Whitewater High School Key Club and 11 members of Whitewater Middle School Builders Club. For one day, these students swapped their books for rakes, tucked their cell phones away, and demonstrated community spirit by helping local residents and organizations by cleaning up leaves.
With sponsorship from the Kiwanis Club, Key Club and Builders Club collaborate with school advisors and staff to build citizenship and character.

The Whitewater Lions hosted the recent November Zone 27A-1.4 meeting. The meeting’s theme was “Membership Matters”, where the importance of attracting and retaining new members was emphasized. We at Whitewater contributed by welcoming new members John Berg, Keith Hochhalter and Tom Green to our club. An initiation ceremony was presided over by District Governor Patt Goerke, ably assisted by sponsors Bernie Tangney and Rich Charts. Guys, we're glad to have you and our other new members on board, let us know how we can help you serve.

Here's Lion Judy, along with a few of her supporting cast of characters, getting ready to dish out our famous sauteed onions at the recent Elkhorn Flea Market. Folks tell us they come from miles away just to enjoy our Ribeye Steak, burger and jumbo hot dog sandwiches. Just another way that "We Serve", as all proceeds go back to the local community.
