Bobcat Nation,

We had a car run the stop arm and flashers this morning on Highway 25 this morning. Our kids were attempting to get on that bus. As many of you are well aware, a five year old boy from the Scott County Central School District was struck by a driver last week as he was getting off the bus. It's a miracle he wasn't killed. So please, please, please, if you see that bus stopping, wait until that driver turns the flashers off before you drive. Help us keep our kids safe.

Our area is experiencing some dry conditions that are leading to an increase in natural cover fires.

Please use caution with any outdoor burning. If burning is absolutely necessary, then please attend fires at all time, have a means of extinguishment readily available, and don't burn during windy conditions.

This week’s important reminder: DO NOT wear solar eclipse glasses if you’re behind the wheel. Do not drive with your vision impaired during the eclipse and like always, buckle up phone down.
