💜October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.💜

To every survivor: what happened to you is part of your story, but it does not get to define the rest of it. There is life after survival, life where you rediscover your voice, reclaim your peace, laugh without fear, love yourself differently, and slowly remember what it feels like to simply live.

And to the people around them: pay attention.
Check in. Believe survivors. Listen without judgment. Be a safe place for someone who may be finding the courage to speak.

September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💜🩵

Check on the people you love, not just the ones who look like they’re struggling. Sometimes the heaviest battles are carried quietly. Reach out, listen without judgment, remind someone that they matter, and don’t underestimate what your presence can mean.

💜🩵 Your story is still being written.

Some days, staying is brave.

Sometimes hope doesn’t look like strength, healing, or having everything figured out. Sometimes hope is simply making it through the next hour. Answering the phone. Letting someone sit beside you. Crying until you can breathe again. Choosing to see one more sunrise, even when you’re not sure you believe tomorrow will feel different.

There’s a reason the semicolon (;) became a symbol of su***de prevention. In writing, it appears where a sentence could have ended, but the writer chose for it to continue.

And maybe that’s the most beautiful part of its meaning:

You don’t have to know how the rest of the story goes to choose not to end it here.

There are pieces of your life you haven’t lived yet. Laughter you haven’t heard. Love you haven’t felt. Ordinary mornings that may one day mean everything to you.

So if today is heavy, you don’t have to carry your whole future today.

Just stay for this moment.
Then the next one.
Then the one after that.

Your story was never required to be perfect to be worth continuing. 💜🩵
