🚨 SHOT POINT-BLANK IN THE CHEST. SHE IS BLEEDING OUT. PLEASE HELP US SAVE HER.

We just received a desperate plea from a county shelter for a dog named Bebe who was brutally shot in the chest at point-blank range.

When questioned, the person who shot her claimed she “ran up on him.”

How many times are we going to hear this excuse? How many animals have to suffer because someone decides pulling a gun is the answer?

BeBe is dying. She was found collapsed with blood pouring from her body.

She is in shock, her body is literally shutting down. She has lost a tremendous amount of blood. We do not know whether the bullet exited her body or which vital organs may have been damaged.

What we do know is that she is suffering, she is critically injured, and if we do not intervene immediately, the shelter will have no choice but to euthanize her.

We are urgently working to get Bebe out of the shelter and transported to a critical care hospital.

Please help us save her life - Time is running out and her life cannot end like this.

Due to the severity of her injuries and the excruciating pain she was experiencing, shelter staff made the decision to muzzle her as a safety precaution. This was not a reflection of her temperament, but of the tremendous pain and suffering she was enduring.

🚨 RESCUED FROM THE SOUTHERN STATE PARKWAY. NOW BENZ NEEDS OUR HELP!

Last night, Benz was rescued from the Southern State Parkway on Long Island by the incredible John Debacker. This poor cat was in an incredibly dangerous situation, and thankfully, someone was there to save his life.

Our co-founder Lisa Blanco transported Benz into our care, and now the next chapter of his rescue begins.

Getting an animal to safety is only the beginning.

Benz now needs a full veterinary examination, flea and ear mite treatment, FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, SNAP testing, deworming, f***l testing, and neutering.

All of this comes at a cost, and with so many animals already depending on us, every new rescue adds to our mounting medical expenses.

Behind every animal saved is an entire network of people working tirelessly to give them a second chance. From the person who rescues them, to the organization that takes responsibility for their medical care, to the fosters and adoption center that provide a safe place until they find a forever home. Every step requires resources, and none of it is possible without support.

Please consider donating toward Benz's medical expenses and sharing his story. Every dollar helps us care for him while allowing us to continue saying YES to the next animal who desperately needs us. ❤️

❤️‍🩹 Late last night we were racing against the clock to get Payton out of a county shelter before it closed. She was suffering from a horrific embedded collar injury that had cut deep into the flesh beneath her front leg.

The thought of how long she may have endured this unimaginable pain is absolutely devastating.

We don't yet know the full extent of her injuries, but given the location of the wound beneath her armpit, she could face a long and complicated recovery, with substantial medical expenses ahead. Please continue donating if you can and sharing her story. We will update you on her condition as soon as we know more 💕

🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED: THE SHELTER IS CLOSING AND WE NEED TO GET HER OUT!

We received an urgent plea for help for a dog who was brought into a county shelter suffering from a horrific embedded collar injury.

Her collar has cut deep into the flesh beneath her front leg, near her armpit. Her injury is gruesome and we cannot begin to imagine the pain and suffering she has endured.

This level of suffering does not happen overnight. This is days, potentially weeks, of unimaginable pain. Every movement of her leg could have caused agony.

The cruelty and neglect this innocent girl has endured is heartbreaking and infuriating.

The county shelter is closing for the night, and we are desperately trying to get her out and directly to a veterinary hospital for urgent medical care.

Please help us say YES to her tonight.

We can’t do this work without our community.

🚨After days of fear and uncertainty, Tevy has been found safe!

Tevy was living in the very same house as one of our most horrific cruelty cases last year. He was found with Ritchie - the dog who had his p***s burned and later on amputated.

Tevy will NOT be returning to the county in Georgia where he suffered abuse and in order to keep him here, we urgently need a foster. Ideally in a quiet area outside of NYC, someone patient and understanding who can give him the time, space, and stability he desperately needs. Tevy adores other dogs and is comfortable around women.

We were not expecting to take on yet another case, but we cannot turn our backs on Tevy. We need our community to come together and help us find this frightened boy a safe place to land.

📍 PLEASE apply to foster at nycscr.org/foster

We are also incredibly grateful to the dedicated trappers, drone teams, and everyone who helped bring him to safety. We will share a proper thank you soon 🫶

🐾Apparently 530 days of being handsome, lovable, and ridiculously adorable in pajamas STILL isn't enough to get noticed. 😭 Mo is starting to think his forever family missed the memo!

This sweet, playful, affectionate boy has so much love to give, yet somehow he's spent nearly a year and a half waiting for someone to choose him.

Mo loves people, enjoys having fun, and is dog friendly with proper introductions.

530 days is far too long for a dog with this much love to give. Can we PLEASE make Mo's next big milestone his adoption day? 💗
