This weekend is the HKDBF Time Trials! Happening both days from 10:30am-2pm! Teams will have the chance to do a mock race and receive their time to see how they did.

Can’t wait to see all teams and paddlers this weekend.

Make sure to wear your best as media coverage will be present to cover the Festivals time trials!

New York, NY — We cordially invite media representatives, sponsors, dignitaries, and honored guests to attend the Awakening Ceremony for the 2025 Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York, taking place Wednesday, July 30th at 11:00AM at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.

This special ceremony marks the official spiritual kickoff to this year’s festivities, celebrating the Year of the Snake — a symbol of wisdom, transformation, and intuition.

The event will feature:
🧘‍♂️ Traditional Blessing Ceremony led by Buddhist Monk Ming Tung
🐉 The Eye-Dotting of Two Dragon Boats to awaken their spirits and bless the festival
🥋 A live performance by Shaolin Martial Artists from the New York Shaolin Temple Kung Fu Center
👥 Attendance by elected officials, community leaders, media, and festival sponsors

This intimate, cultural experience is an opportunity to honor tradition, engage with community leaders, and witness the spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival come to life.

Thank you to the Dragon Boat Team for spending their weekend volunteering to beautify Flushing Meadows Corona Park Lake. Maintaining the green spaces in Queens is not possible without community involvement!

Carnegie hall have donated to us 4 tickets to watch the Beijing Youth Orchestra, an ensemble newly created by China’s National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA).
