I want to thank everyone who sent messages to me congratulating the Letcher County Food Pantry receiving the recognition and donation from Childers Oil last night.

However, I could not begin to run it by myself. I have had wonderful help from our Board who are as dedicated as I am.
They are hardworking week after week. If you know any of them take a minute and Thank them too: Harold Bolling, Cheryl Furby, Imogene Smith, Clara Whitaker, Dessie Shepherd, Russell Bates, Larry Pressly, Vernus Sturgill. and Richard Whitaker. We also have help from Work Release, Ally and all the volunteers who help on our Drive-Thru. God Bless Them.

Thank you for your support and belief in what we do.
Sincerely,
Vicki Holbrook,

💛 A Hometown Hero with a Heart for Letcher County! 💛

Tonight, we had the honor of celebrating Vicki Holbrook as a Hometown Hero through Double Kwik’s 60th Anniversary celebration! 🎉

As part of the honor, Vicki accepted a $2,000 donation to the Letcher County Food Pantry, where she works tirelessly to make sure our neighbors have food on their tables. 🥫❤️

What an incredible way to celebrate 60 years of serving Kentucky communities: honoring someone who serves her own community every single day.

Congratulations, Vicki and The Letcher County Food Pantry team👏🏼💛

❤️ 437 FAMILIES SERVED TODAY! ❤️

Another incredibly successful food giveaway for anyone residing in Letcher County! 🥹

After the recent flooding our county has faced, God’s Pantry Food Bank sent additional food items to help our community when we needed it most. Seeing that truck pull in today was such a reminder that Letcher County is not forgotten. 💚

Because of that extra support and a whole lot of hardworking volunteers, we were able to serve an amazing 437 FAMILIES TODAY! 🙌🏼

FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SEVEN.
That’s 437 households going home with food on their tables. ❤️

To everyone at God’s Pantry Food Bank: Letcher County thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity means more than you know, especially as so many of our neighbors are still dealing with the effects of the flooding.

And to every volunteer who showed up, loaded boxes, directed traffic, checked families in, and worked in the heat, you are what community looks like. 🫶🏼

When our little mountain community gets knocked down, we show up for one another.

437 families. One community. Neighbors feeding neighbors. ❤️

The Letcher Cty. Food Pantry is watching the weather as closely as possible to determine whether we can open or not. If it's not possible for our neighbors to get out of their hollers our volunteers can't either. YES, we worry about you and your food situation. You are in our prayers 😞

We will post each morning to let you know if we can open or not. Watch out for your neighbors and help them when and if you can.

PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION!

We care about you all and want you warm and safe.

Vicki, Imogene, Cheryl, Dessie, Russell, Larry and Vernus.
