We are working toward a future where all Kentuckians— regardless of their circumstances— have the knowledge, resources and support to make informed decisuons about their reproductive health. We combine storytelling, media making, youth empowerment, health care provider education, and community outreach to advocate for and increase access to all birth control options.

Halfway through the year, and the impact of our contraception mailing program continues to grow!

So far in 2026, we’ve distributed:
⭐ 10,255 condoms
⭐ 1,168 doses of emergency contraception
⭐ 4,903 pregnancy tests
⭐ 12,240 monthly doses of Opill

These aren’t just numbers. They represent increased access, more choices, and fewer barriers to confidential, affordable reproductive healthcare across Kentucky. We’re incredibly proud of the impact this program is making and grateful for the partners and supporters helping us meet people where they are. 💙

There’s a lot of confusion — and intentional misinformation — about contraception right now. Let’s be clear:
Medical science defines pregnancy as beginning at implantation. All FDA-approved contraception works to prevent pregnancy.

Emergency contraception is contraception.
IUDs are contraception.
The pill is contraception.

Calling birth control “abortion” is medically inaccurate and used to justify restricting access.

Let’s talk about medication abortion in a simple, clear way 💙 Medication abortion uses two medications, mifepristone and misoprostol, that are also used in miscarriage care. Misoprostol is even commonly used in hospitals after childbirth to help prevent serious bleeding.

It’s a safe, well-studied option that many people use early in pregnancy, and in recent years, telehealth has made it easier for people to access care no matter where they live. Medication abortion is safe and effective and can be life-saving.

Conversations about abortion don’t have to be confrontational to be meaningful. 💬 If you want to have a productive, respectful dialogue, try this framework:
1️⃣ Ask their opinion — and truly listen without judgment.
2️⃣ Find common ground in shared values.
3️⃣ Share a story that speaks to those values.
4️⃣ Engage thoughtfully with their concerns.
5️⃣ Gently connect the conversation back to abortion access.

When we lead with curiosity, empathy, and shared humanity, we create space for real understanding. 💛

Happy Pride Month! 🌈 Healthcare should be inclusive, affirming, and accessible for everyone, no matter their identity, background, or who they love.

Access to reproductive healthcare, education, and resources is part of overall health and dignity, and we’re committed to supporting communities where everyone feels respected and seen when seeking care.

This month is a celebration, but also a reminder that equity in healthcare matters all year long!

Birth 👏 Control 👏 Is 👏 Health 👏 Care 👏
Birth control isn’t just one thing. It’s health care. It’s freedom. It’s relief. It’s autonomy. People say for so many reasons, from managing painful periods to affirming their gender to treating medical conditions.
Access matters because real people rely on it every single day. 💛

You never know when you’ll need something , which is why having a reproductive health kit can make life a little easier. 💛 Think of it as your “just in case” box or drawer with supplies you may want easy access to when you need them.

No two kits look the same, and that’s okay. Your reproductive health needs are personal, build one that works for you! What would you add to your kit? ⬇️

HPV is so common that most people will have it at some point. The tricky part? It often has no symptoms and can go away on its own, so you might not even know it’s there.
Here’s the quick rundown:
• Cervical screenings can help detect HPV for people assigned female at birth
• There’s no routine HPV test for people assigned male at birth
• For anyone, it can sometimes show up as ge***al warts
In Kentucky, 57% of teens (13–17) have gotten the HPV vaccine. Let’s boost that number together! 💪
Stay in the know. Take care of your body. And don’t be afraid to ask questions. 💙

A quick update on medication abortion access in the U.S. 💚

For now, the U.S. Supreme Court is allowing mifepristone (the abortion pill) to remain available through mail and pharmacies nationwide while legal challenges continue. But here in Kentucky, the abortion ban is still in effect. This ruling does not change Kentucky law or make abortion care newly available in the state.

So why share this update? Because what happens nationally affects the future of reproductive healthcare access and people deserve clear, easy-to-understand information.
