Please join us in congratulating one of our Senior Diamonds, MSgt Smith, on her retirement from the Air Force after 26 years of service. While her time with our council was short, the impact she made will be felt for a long time.

Throughout her career — and especially during her time as a First Sergeant — she exemplified what it truly means to serve. Long hours, time away from home and family, and countless moments spent taking care of Airmen often behind the scenes. She never sought the spotlight, but she was always there when it mattered most — standing beside Airmen during their hardest days and helping them find a way forward.

She joined our council and immediately helped us grow, challenged us to be better, and strengthened the bonds that make this group more than just a team. Her mentorship, compassion, and quiet strength made us better First Sergeants and better people.

Thank you for 26 years of selfless service and for the legacy you leave behind. You will be deeply missed, and we wish you nothing but happiness and fulfillment in your next chapter.

We're so blessed to have such an amazing community that is so dedicated to taking care of our Airmen!
Thank you K**b Noster Schools for what you provide to our members in times of need.

K**b Noster Elementary held their Annual Fun Run in conjunction with Veterans Day in November. The event is a fundraiser that helps fund field trips and classroom supplies, and the school donates a portion of the money that is raised.

This year, Ms. Murphy's class raised the most money and was selected to present the school's $1,411 donation to the Whiteman Air Force Base First Sergeants Council. The donation will be used in their Operation Warm Heart Fund which supports active and retired military families who need emergency assistance. ❤

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown through this year’s Angel Tree. With the help of our amazing community, we supported an all-time high of 226 Angels — more than double what we’ve seen in recent years.

Thanks to generous donations from the community, the Lee’s Summit VFW, and the KC Chiefs, an estimated $21K in gifts were donated, benefiting 201 military children and 25 Show-Me kids. Every child received multiple gifts, with some receiving even more than expected.

Thank you to everyone who adopted an Angel, donated, wrapped gifts, and supported this effort. We are truly blessed to be part of such a caring community. 💙🎄✨

The First Sergeant Council is proud to host the annual Operation Warm Heart bell ringing. Operation Warm Heart is a program dedicated to helping Airmen and their families during times of need or emergency—and 100% of the funds raised go directly back to Airmen right here in our community.

From Santa suits to smiling faces, our team was happy to lend a hand (and a bell!) for a cause that truly makes a difference. Thank you to everyone who stopped, donated, or shared a little holiday cheer. Together, we’re taking care of our own. ❤️🎄

This week reminded us just how powerful this community truly is. Thanks to the support around us, we were able to help 17 Airmen travel home for the holidays — Airmen who haven’t been home in a long time and shared what it would mean to reconnect with their families. Being able to say “yes” to them was an honor.

We partnered with the Commissary to provide 50 Thanksgiving baskets for our AD and TFI members across base. And because this community never fails to show up, the American Legion stepped in and donated an additional 40 baskets on top of that to make sure everyone was able to have a good meal.

We also had the privilege of serving a Thanksgiving meal at the Stealth Lounge for our dorm Airmen, sharing good food, laughter, and a little piece of home with those who chose to stay local.

To put it simply: we are blessed. The way our community partners rally behind our Airmen is something special, and we are grateful beyond words.

Taking care of Airmen is a team effort, and this week proved just how strong that team really is. 💎🦃✨

💎 Honoring Our Senior Diamond 💎

It’s officially time for our Senior Diamond to take the diamond off and head back to his career field — and while we’re excited for his next chapter, we already know the council won’t be the same without him.

In his short tenure here, he’s made a massive impact. He came in humble, eager to learn the Whiteman way, and fully committed to pouring into this council and every Shirt who crossed his path. He’s always been the one to give the *real* feedback — the kind that pushes you to grow as a First Sergeant, a SNCO, and a human being… even when we didn’t necessarily ask for it. 😅

He’s been the council’s big brother, the steady voice of reason, and the one who set a standard that’s going to be hard to follow. The shoes he’s leaving behind aren’t just big — they’re nearly impossible to fill.

Allen Calais, thank you for everything. Your impact won’t fade, and you’ll always be part of this family. 💙💎

**❤️ Operation Gas Tank Recap ❤️**

Today we teamed up with Whiteman AFB Top III for *Operation Gas Tank*, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The last few months have been strange and stressful for so many — the shutdown, the uncertainty around pay, and our civilian teammates going without checks while still trying to make ends meet.

With the holidays coming up, we wanted to pass along a little light, a little relief, and a reminder that this community always shows up for each other. The line wrapped around the block, our bank cards thought we were committing *major fraud* 😅, but the smiles, the hugs, and the genuine gratitude made every second worth it.

We’re grateful we could help — even in a small way — and even more grateful for the people who make this base what it is. ❤️💙

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting the Fall Additional Duty First Sergeant Symposium — and what a week it was! 💎

Attendees dove headfirst into real-world scenarios, answered those midnight phone calls that every Shirt knows too well, and gained valuable insight from across the installation. From in-depth briefs with base agencies on crisis response, to breakfast with the KSL team, and dynamic command team and First Sergeant panels, the week was packed with learning, connection, and mentorship.

This symposium wasn’t just for future Shirts — it brought together seasoned TSgts, MSgts, and CGOs, all committed to growing as leaders and learning what it means to truly serve Airmen first.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, shared wisdom, or supported this event — you helped make it an unforgettable and impactful week!
