What changed between these two pictures?

Six months ago, we met a little boy named Calvin.

His father brought him to our surgical team in Arua, Uganda. Calvin was born with a severe facial deformity that affected his appearance and threatened his ability to eat, grow, and thrive.

His family had no way to access the specialized surgery he desperately needed.

In January, Calvin received surgery through our medical outreach program.

Yesterday, Calvin's father sent us this photo.

He didn't send a medical report.

He didn't send a thank-you letter.

He sent a picture of his son.

Six months ago, the first thing people noticed was Calvin's condition.
