Engaged Community, Inspired Educators & Exceptional Opportunities for Students Join with us today. You will make a difference with each dollar that is donated.

The Foundation understands that there are incredible teachers in the Whitehouse Independent School District who, each year, think of new and innovative ways to inspire and teach our children. Often times, though, those teachers are faced with the decision of either paying to implement those ideas out of their own pocket or foregoing implementation altogether. The Foundation recognizes that there are private individuals and businesses who want to see these great ideas put into action, and who are willing to contribute their monetary resources voluntarily to make it happen. Ultimately, these inspiring and innovative ideas will compete for funds raised by the Foundation. We are confident that--once put into action--the education of our kids will never be the same again. In short, the Foundation exists to be a bridge between the private and voluntary resource of our community and the direct needs of WISD classrooms.

🐾❤️ WILDCAT WEDNESDAY:
LOOK WHAT YOU MADE POSSIBLE!

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs start with the smallest conversations! 💬❤️

At our 2025 Wildcat Den, $2,017.58 was awarded to bring “Molding Minds in TAPS” to students across Whitehouse ISD!

For students with speech and language difficulties, finding the right words isn't always easy. Through Tap and Play in Speech (TAPS), students have access to hands-on, play-based learning tools that encourage pretend play, build vocabulary, and create more opportunities to connect with their peers.

Because learning to communicate isn't just about words. It's about building confidence, making connections, and finding your voice! ❤️

A special thank you to Mr. Ricky Fulps, whose generosity fully funded this grant and made these opportunities possible!

And thank you to Makayla Hagy, Stacy Labeff, Danielle Fox, and Amanda Miller for bringing this creative idea to life for our Wildcats!

Tonight, under the Friday night lights, we had the privilege of presenting Whitehouse ISD with a check for $171,914.13, representing the grants and opportunities funded by WISDEF during the 2025–2026 school year!

But this check represents so much more than a dollar amount. It represents a community that believes in its public schools, educators who dream big, and countless people working together to create opportunities for our students.

LOOK WHAT YOU MADE POSSIBLE!

Thanks to the generosity of our WISDEF donors, $24,902.15 was awarded through Wildcat Den last year to help bring “The Braille Trail and Other Accessibility Tales” to Brown Elementary!

This incredible project includes tactile running paths, wheelchair-accessible playground equipment, and an adjustable basketball goal, all designed to give more students the opportunity to play, explore, and participate independently alongside their peers.

Because every Wildcat deserves to be part of the fun! 🐾

A special thank you to Dustin & Kayla Glover, whose generous support helped fund this grant, and to the Brown Elementary educators who dreamed up a more inclusive space for their students.

🎉 ON-THE-SPOT GRANT AWARDED! 🎉

📚 Unlocking History: Empowering Dyslexic Learners

History is for everyone, and every student deserves the tools to explore it!

Congratulations to Melissa Stelzer at Whitehouse Junior High School - Whitehouse ISD on receiving an $882.03 On-the-Spot Grant from WISDEF!

This grant will bring innovative C-Pen Readers into the 8th-grade U.S. History classroom, giving students with dyslexia the ability to hear printed text read aloud as they explore important historical documents.

By making challenging texts more accessible, these tools help students focus less on decoding words and more on understanding history, thinking critically, and learning independently.

🐾 WILDCAT WEDNESDAY 🐾
LOOK WHAT YOU MADE POSSIBLE!

Thanks to the support of our WISDEF donors, A Literary Launchpad: The Mystery Mix-Up was funded for Whitehouse ISD 4th and 5th graders.
This grant provided 50 reusable mystery book boxes that were filled with curated book pairings throughout the year, encouraging students to step outside their usual choices, explore new genres, and maybe discover a book they never would have picked up otherwise.

For our first Wildcat Wednesday thank you of the year, we need to celebrate and thank all of you for the accomplishments of last year!

Last year, our community helped WISDEF fund an incredible $171,914.13 for Whitehouse ISD!

And this year? We’re preparing to award a RECORD amount in grants to WISD educators and students. 🎉 We’re keeping that number under wraps for just a little longer, but we can’t wait to show you what this community has made possible!

Here’s something important to know about WISDEF: the money we raise today helps fund the opportunities we provide tomorrow. While we’re preparing to award this year’s grants, we’re already raising funds to make next year’s grants possible.

When you sponsor an event, give on Giving Tuesday or East Texas Giving Day, support Kinder Club, attend Celebration of Innovation or make a donation, you’re helping fund what comes next.
