Christian Educational Ministries

Christian Educational Ministries Christian Educational Ministries Christian Educational Ministries was founded in November, 1995 as a service ministry with two major goals.

First, in the hearts of all Christian people is the imperative to share the Gospel with the world, to evangelize, to make disciples for Jesus Christ. Second, it is our desire to teach those who are disciples of Jesus all that He commanded His disciples to do (Matthew 28:19-20). Paul expanded on this latter objective in his last letter to Timothy:

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God,

and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be proficient and equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:17 from KJV and NRSV). To this end, we teach the Bible with a view to helping people make their own lives work while they are a positive influence and blessing to those around them. Our primary mission is carried out through the Born to Win Radio Program, literature, essays both in print and on the Internet, and published books. We also make available sermon CD's and an Adult Bible Study Course in our CEM Bookstore. Another major effort is the education of youth. Youth Educational Adventures is an arm of CEM created to systematically educate children and young people in God’s way with a curriculum of lessons spanning 17 years of a child’s life, beginning with age three to 20. CEM is here to serve the public, individual Christians of every stripe, and community based churches in every tradition. We are an independent, nondenominational ministry. Our Confession of Faith is broadly stated and not intended to be exclusionary.

What did the earliest Christians actually believe—and how did they live?

The book of Acts shows a Church that was active, courageous, growing, and centered on the message of Jesus Christ. It wasn’t built on tradition or popularity—it was built on truth, conviction, and obedience to God.

When we look at the beginning of Christianity, we don’t just study history—we discover lessons that still challenge and encourage us today.

“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” ~ Acts 2:42 KJV

Being called a child of God is more than a title—it changes who we are and how we live.

Scripture speaks of both being born of God and being adopted into His family. These are not competing ideas—they reveal the depth of God’s love and His purpose for us. Through Christ, we are not left outside looking in. We are invited into a relationship with our Father and called to grow into His likeness.

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” ~ 1 John 3:2 KJV

Have you ever wondered what it truly means to become a child of God?

The Bible speaks of being born again, but it also speaks of being adopted into God’s family. Are these different ideas—or two parts of the same incredible promise?

God doesn’t leave us distant or forgotten. Through Christ, He calls us His own and invites us into a relationship that changes everything.

“For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” ~ Romans 8:15 KJV

How should Christians think about Jews? For that matter, how should Jews think about Christians? The relationship between Jews and Christians has been strained right from the very start. It was a mob of Jews who screamed at Pontius Pilate, Let him be crucified!, when Pilate was ready to let Jesus go...

Happy Sabbath!

As another week comes to a close, God invites us to pause from our labor and remember that He is the Creator of heaven and earth. The Sabbath is a gift—a time to rest, worship, reflect, and rejoice in His goodness.

Whether you spend today with family, in fellowship, in nature, or in quiet reflection, may your heart be renewed by God's presence and peace.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” ~ Matthew 11:28 KJV

May this Sabbath bring rest to your body, peace to your mind, and joy to your spirit.

The early Church did not grow through comfort, popularity, or worldly power. It grew because faithful men and women were willing to stand boldly for the truth of God, even when the world pushed back against them.

The message of Acts is still relevant today. God calls His people to remain faithful, courageous, and grounded in His Word no matter the culture around them.

“And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly…” ~ Acts 6:7 KJV

Of all the Christian holidays, the one that surprises me the most is Pentecost. It surprises me that every Christian does not observe it. After all, it is the birthday of the New Testament church. It is the day the Holy Spirit fell on the church in power. You would think that if they are going to ce...

Today, we remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this nation. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free, and that true love is often shown through courage, duty, and selfless service.

As we honor their memory this Memorial Day, let us also thank God for the blessings we so often take for granted — faith, family, freedom, and the opportunity to live in peace.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” ~ John 15:13 KJV

May we never forget those who gave everything for others.
