Readington Area Starfish A non-profit 501c-3 organization developed in 1987 to help support those in our community. Monies collected are used for those in need. There are no paid staff!

Founded in 1987 by representatives of Readington Township Churches to address the needs of our community, especially those who fall through the cracks. The outcome was that each church pledged food and cash to help those in need. It has since grown through the support of the Readington community, Scouts, local schools and generous citizens. All bills we pay are paid anonymously and directly to the vendor. No cash is given out to individuals.

A heartfelt thank you to Troop 186, Pack 182, and our incredible Readington community for your generous donations during our recent Scouting for Food Drive. Because of your kindness, we were able to support local families in Readington through our recent Easter food distribution.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to:

✨ Youth Group from St. Anna's Greek Orthodox Church for helping sort donations
✨ All of our amazing volunteers who gave their time and energy

REMINDER IT'S FOOD DISTIBUTION WEEKEND!
Looking for Volunteers!

🍽️ Help Us Stock Single-Serving Meals for Neighbors in Need

Sometimes the simplest meal can make the biggest difference. We are currently collecting single-serving meals to support individuals in our community who may be living alone or need quick, easy options.

These meals provide comfort, convenience, and care for those facing difficult times. Whether it’s shelf-stable meals, microwave-ready items, or easy-to-prepare portions — every donation helps.

📍 Drop-off Locations:
Our Lady of Lourdes
M-Th: 9 AM – 3 PM
Friday: 9 AM – 12 PM
Saturday & Sunday during Mass (collection bin in Parish Hall)
Please drop near the Parish Office when possible.

Readington Reformed Church
Sundays from 9 AM to Noon

Volunteers Needed This March 29th & 30th!

Readington Area Starfish is gearing up for our next distribution, and we need your help to make it happen! We have two key shifts coming up:

The Sorting Team

Sunday, March 29th @ 5:30 PM

The Task: Moving food from the pantry to the hall, setting up the room, and preparing bags for clients. Need some strong folks too!

Great for: Scouts, local sports teams, and anyone looking for a Sunday evening "workout" for a good cause!

The Packing Team

When: Monday, March 30th @ 9:00 AM

The Task: Packing nonperishables into bags for our clients.

Great for: Anyone available Monday morning who wants to help get food ready for our neighbors.
