Readington Area Starfish

Readington Area Starfish A non-profit 501c-3 organization developed in 1987 to help support those in our community. Monies collected are used for those in need. There are no paid staff!

Founded in 1987 by representatives of Readington Township Churches to address the needs of our community, especially those who fall through the cracks. The outcome was that each church pledged food and cash to help those in need. It has since grown through the support of the Readington community, Scouts, local schools and generous citizens. All bills we pay are paid anonymously and directly to the vendor. No cash is given out to individuals.

Update: We need volunteers Sunday at 7:30PM and Monday 9:00AM. We typically have a low volunteer turnout for help in the summer. We can use some extra strong hands especially for the emptying of the pantry on Sunday Night.

Neighbors helping neighbors. That's what the Summer Distribution is all about. ❤️

This month, we're looking for a few extra hands to help us prepare and distribute food to local families.
Volunteer opportunities:
📦 Sunday, July 12 at 7:30 PM
Sorting donations and emptying the pantry
🥫 Monday, July 13 at 9:00 AM
Packing non-perishable food items

We'll be sorting at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Route 523 in Whitehouse Station, and we'd love to have you join us. Whether you can give an hour or the whole morning, every helping hand makes a difference.

Can't volunteer? You can still help.

A heartfelt thank you to Troop 186, Pack 182, and our incredible Readington community for your generous donations during our recent Scouting for Food Drive. Because of your kindness, we were able to support local families in Readington through our recent Easter food distribution.

🍽️ Help Us Stock Single-Serving Meals for Neighbors in Need

Sometimes the simplest meal can make the biggest difference. We are currently collecting single-serving meals to support individuals in our community who may be living alone or need quick, easy options.

These meals provide comfort, convenience, and care for those facing difficult times. Whether it’s shelf-stable meals, microwave-ready items, or easy-to-prepare portions — every donation helps.
