WYHS VETERANS SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, October 7 WYAA is planning 2 Homecoming events to recognize & thank our WYHS Veterans!

1. Homecoming Parade Float: Leo Knoblauch, 1977, USAF will drive his covered float for veterans who can't walk. Veterans who walk will precede the float. The parade route is Etna Road School to WYHS practice field.

2. Whitehall VFW after the Parade: WYAA invites WYHS Veterans to meet at the Whitehall VFW, 4100 E. Main St. after the parade. All Veterans are welcome, including veterans who aren't in the parade. Plan to meet veterans from many decades, wars & military service communities...& enjoy on Massey's pizzas.

WYAA will be honoring Karen Harrison on her 50th Anniversary of being crowned Homecoming Queen! She'll be introduced during WYHS Pre-Game, before they introduce the WYHS 2026 Homecoming Court. Thanks all for helping us contact Karen!

WYAA is looking for our WYHS 1976 Homecoming Queen, Class of 1977? Or...is there a band member who was a Homecoming Queen? We want honor a previous Homecoming Queen at our 2026 Homecoming on October 9.

This is our 8th year of honoring past Homecoming Queens during Pregame. We want to honor the 50th Anniversary of our Homecoming Queen or another Queen from our Alumni Honorees. This year we're honoring All Ram Bands, Flag, Majorettes, Directors!

The Columbus Dispatch recently recognized Mike Shade, WYHS 1975, on his retirement after 36 years of teaching & a 34-year coaching legacy at Gahanna Lincoln HS.

Mike graduated Cum Laude from Capital University. He played baseball for Capital & was a Div. 3 All-American. Mike’s Gahanna Lion's teams won OCC, District & Regional Championships & Final 4 State twice.

Mike was inducted into the WYHS Hall of Fame in 2016, Capital's Athletic Hall of Fame & the Central District Baseball Coach's Hall of Fame. Congratulations Mike - We're Ram Proud of you!

Ram Football Alumni: Would you like to support & meet our 2026 football team?

Cameron Barker, 2015 & WYHS Rams Head Football Coach is looking for groups to support our 2026 football players by providing Pre-Game dinners. Soo...WYAA is looking for football alumni who want to contribute towards a buffet dinner before our Homecoming Game on Friday, Oct. 9.
