Backpack Assistance Program We want to fill the hunger gap that is felt by our school age community members. How can you help?

At the Backpack Assistance Program our mission is to improve the wellbeing of our school age community members that are subject to food insecurity by providing nutritious supplemental food during the weekend and school closure days. We hope that all children in our community have access to good food during school closure days so that each child is able to meet their potential both physically and e

motionally. We know that breaking the cycle of poverty and food insecurity for our children will create a more just and equitable future. Share this information and consider contributing to our program. Please send donations to:

A huge THANK YOU to the summer-camp group that volunteered with us this week! It is always so inspiring to see kids helping kids in their community. After we spent some time talking about food insecurity, and how their work will help their neighbors and classmates, they packed upwards of 500 kids snack bags that will be sent out with the North Valley Food Bank mobile food pantry!!!
They even had time for some art projects that you just might see in our pantry space soon :)
