Stumptown Art Studio Whitefish, Montana's Non-Profit Art Studio, est. 1995. Classes, pottery painting, clay studio & more! Open Everyday! No appointment necessary.

Walk in anytime to paint pottery, canvas painting or do glass fusing. Call ahead for larger groups, Birthday Parties, Field Trips. Rent the Studio after hours for private art parties. Rain Days are the BEST days at SAS! Shelves are loaded with cool things to paint, fun tunes playing, lots of happy faces and a darn good time.

We can also be action packed all day. If you get on the waitlist NO worries, wander town and we will call you when your table is ready. Have a group of 4 or more? Make a reservation ahead of time and we will have your spot ready for you.

Pottery painting, fused glass (reservations required on rain days for glass), and “make and take” options. Visiting? We Ship!

A reminder call to all students! Today is drop off day for our juried student art show opening THIS Thursday! We can’t wait to celebrate the amazing heart and talent of our local students as we kick off the school year. Bring your work to the studio today, wired and ready to hang! ALL mediums are welcome!!
This first Thursday is meant to kick off the school year, and as such we will be rolling out our full fall lineup of classes for youth! Come by this 1st Thursday and receive a 10% discount on youth classes if you register that evening! We can’t wait to see you there.

Update 🧡 Summer is a wildly busy time for us and also it’s when we do our biggest fundraising of the year!

We are part of the Great Fish Community Challenge, hosted by the Whitefish Community Foundation, the Studio along with 88 other nonprofits, are raising critical funds for their missions.

Right now our total is $17,670! Wowza that’s a lot and THANK YOU for every dollar. We’re stoked!

We crossed the $10K mark so now we need to hit the $25k mark. When we do, we will get the maximum amount of the percentage match gifted by the Whitefish Community Foundation to each nonprofit. That’s major!! In previous years it’s been over 50%!

If you love what we do, and want to see more art options, events and classes, please consider making a donation during this 4-week fundraising campaign. Every dollar counts!
