Please attend or send an email to the trustees at [email protected]. It’s unacceptable for trustees who wanted the power to ban books to suggest that Banned Book Week should also be banned.

Love Lives Here is speaking up about this issue because many of the books that have been challenged at ImagineIF and other libraries across the nation are about LGBTQ+ or anti-racism issues. The challenges are frequently being instigated by national extremist groups like Moms for Liberty, which should not have the right to interfere with our freedoms and local decisions. In a stunning act of irony, the ImagineIf Library Board of Trustees has decided that their staff cannot put up a display during Banned Books Week this year.
