As assistance declines and more families and children face food and housing insecurity, we can each do a small part to provide some relief.

Join us in making sandwiches for Just One More Ministry and Guest House. Our volunteers will collect the sandwiches at Schoolhouse Park on Wednesday, October 7, from 9–10 a.m. and deliver them for you.

Stories that uplift the American experience of immigration. 🇺🇸🇵🇷🇲🇽🇨🇴🇸🇻🇭🇹🇰🇷🇨🇳 We were chatting with some Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) teachers who care deeply about their students and are seeing signs of fear, anxiety and trauma. Throughout the month of October, we are collecting books for MPS students that center immigrant identities. How it works: visit one of our local book purveyors in-person or virtually in Whitefish Bay and Shorewood - whitefishbaybooks and wonderlandbookshopmke - or a bookseller of your choice - and make a purchase from the teacher recommended book list (see QR code on flyer). We’ll do the rest and get the books to their destination in MPS schools and into the hands of students. Shout out to our first donor who generously donated multiple titles and hand delivered them to our doorstep. Oh yeah, that’s an option too. Email us at BayBridgeWisconsin for a local drop off address. These titles are so great, you just might want to pick one up yourself for your own family. Happy reading! 📚
When Stars Are Scattered; I Was Their American Dream; Into the Uncut Grass (Trevor Noah); Tehy Called Us Enemy (George Takei)

More children are going hungry this summer because school lunch programs are not happening and benefits have been cut for their families. Help feed these kids and their folks by bringing sandwiches to Schoolhouse Park on Wednesday, August 4, between 9 and 10. We will do the work of taking them to Just One More Ministry and Guest House for you. More info at https://tinyurl.com/baybridgesandwichsignup
