Free Rein Rescue and Rehab Rescuing and rehabilitating horses that are at risk of slaughter and starting equine therapy.

Free Rein Rescue is an equine rescue devoted to rescuing horses from the slaughter pipeline. Our goal is to attend auctions and outbid the kill buyers to bring the horses to safety, rehabilitation and eventually rehoming with a strict contract to ensure they don't end up where they started. Draft breeds have a special place in our hearts but we won't turn anything away if we can help! While saving

as many horses as we can, we hope to also bring enough awareness to the reality of how inhumane and cruel the process of slaughter is and make enough connections worldwide with like minded people to end the abuse altogether.

She is seven years old, full of spark, and just getting started. She came to us alongside Hersey after their devoted owner faced a sudden life emergency. Lily has known only one home her whole life.
