Thank you to the Sandfire Resources America Board and Black Butte Copper team for meeting with the Meagher County Stewardship Council at 2 Basset Brewery last week.

MCSC is a local nonprofit made up of community members who care deeply about Meagher County’s future. We focus on housing, natural resources, and community development—and we serve as an independent voice in discussions with the mine to help ensure this project benefits our community and respects the place we call home.

Our Sandfire America Board members met with the Meagher County Stewardship Council at 2 Basset Brewery last week!

We're so grateful for the incredible work the MCSC does in our community and the important role they play for Black Butte Copper in providing an independent community voice.

Thank you for all you do!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at the Farmers Market last week. We partnered with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to share a live fish exhibit featuring species from the Smith River and Rainbow Trout. A special thank you to Fisheries Biologist Adam Geik for taking the time to answer questions and educate the community about our local waterways.

We also had a hands-on youth activity with Black Butte Copper where kids learned how algae can be turned into a simple bioplastic—connecting science to everyday life in a fun and accessible way.

It was a great afternoon of learning and connection, and we’re grateful to be part of such an engaged community.
