Developing and offering interpretive, educational, and visitor information programs and resources about the geologic history of the Columbia River Gorge area. The Columbia Gorge Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute (IAFI) helps create effective presentations and a general public awareness of the story of the Ice Age Floods and other geological events that created the spectacular Columbia River Gorge.

USGS mapped 215 large and small landslides in the Stevenson area, only 20% older than 1000 years and a dozen still moving. Bonneville slide that led to the Bridge of the Gods legend around 1450 AD is one of the larger ones.
