🤎 SAMMY IS HEALING FROM A BROKEN HEART AFTER HIS OWNER PASSED AWAY & DESPERATELY NEEDS OUT OF A CUBBY & INTO A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!! 🤎

After 10 years in a home where he was the perfect, laid back, easy going cat, Sammy has found his whole world turned upside down. His owner (the uncle of our Cat Director) passed away this summer after a long battle with cancer. Sammy was by his side for the entire journey up until the very end.

The timing of everything was not ideal with it being kitten season, adoptions for adults being slow and adoptions for seniors being even slower. A cubby at Petsmart was our only option for Sammy and as we expected that is not an ideal setting for a cat who has a broken heart.

Despite it all, Sammy is trying his best to keep a positive outlook, peering out his glass cubby hoping someone will come along and decide to bring him home. Can you give Sammy a new home whether it’s a forever home or a foster home until he is adopted? Sammy has always been an only cat but could perhaps live with other pets after a proper introduction. He is the definition of laid back and low maintenance - entertaining himself and happy to spend time with you.

🤎 Meet Sammy, a handsome senior gentleman looking for a second chance. 🤎

At 10 years old, Sammy is a big, beautiful brown tabby with an incredibly kind and gentle soul. After recently losing the only home he’s ever known when his beloved owner passed away, this sweet boy is hoping to find a loving family to spend his golden years with.

Sammy is the definition of easygoing. Laid-back and independent, he’s perfectly content entertaining himself while you’re busy, but he’s always happy to be nearby. One of his favorite pastimes is lounging up high, keeping watch over his kingdom from a cozy perch. And when bedtime rolls around, he’ll happily curl up at the foot of your bed, quietly keeping you company. 🐾

Having always been an only cat, Sammy has enjoyed being the king of his castle and would likely love to continue that. However, with a slow introduction and plenty of space, he could also do well with another calm, laid-back feline companion.
