Serving the White Plains/Greenburgh Community since 1986 💖💚💖💚 Pi Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® is comprised of a diverse group of women who pool talents and resources to uplift our community and to provide service programs to enrich and improve the White Plains/Greenburgh NY Communities. We continue to promote and uplift sisterhood and friendship in the grand style of our

founders and the generations of Alpha Kappa Alpha women who have come before us.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® — Pi Iota Omega Chapter was proud to support the Westchester National Pan Hellenic Council’s annual Steve Schmitt Greek Picnic on August 1 at Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale, NY

Members of Pi Iota Omega Chapter proudly donated food and monetary donations, and provided hands-on support and assistance throughout the day alongside our D9 Brothers and Sisters.

Congratulations to the Westchester NPHC on another successful Greek Picnic! Together, we raised $1,726, providing the equivalent of more than 3,336 meals, while the Food Drive collected 318 pounds of food, providing an additional 265 meals.

Total Community Impact: Approximately 3,626 meals to help address food insecurity throughout Westchester County!

Tuesday, August 4th was all about community, connection, and literacy! 💖💚📚

Pi Iota Omega Chapter was proud to partner with the Greenburgh Police Department and the White Plains Police Department for National Night Out. As part of our commitment to promoting literacy, we were delighted to donate age appropriate books to children and families throughout the community.

This event fostered educational excellence by providing equitable opportunities for children, youth, families, educators, and underserved communities to learn, lead, read, and achieve.

A special thank you to everyone who stopped by our tables, shared a conversation, and helped us celebrate the power of reading. Together, we’re building stronger communities one book, one child, and one connection at a time.

In alignment with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® International President & CEO Charletta A. Wilson Jacks and the Championing Service platform, Pi Iota Omega Chapter continues to advance Connection and Social Action with the Undergraduate Impact Agenda through education, advocacy, and community partnerships.

Thank you to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, Senior ADA Michelle Lopez, Law Enforcement, Social Workers, Teachers, and all who joined us on June 24, 2026, for our Not For Sale: Human Trafficking Forum. This important conversation raised awareness about human trafficking, prevention, and ways we can protect and empower our communities.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with the DA’s Office to bring human trafficking awareness programming to communities throughout Westchester County.

Together, we are championing service through action and impact.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Pi Iota Omega Chapter was proud to celebrate the 2026 African American Heritage Festival, honoring 40 years of African American history, culture, and community contributions.

We recognize Madam Vice President Awilda Alvarado and Sister Nicole Ndzibah for their planning committee service, Sister Kiana Washington for providing the opening prayer and we congratulate our Sister Danielle Davis-Marrow, PIO Educational Advancement Foundation Chair for her successful fundraising in support of AKA EAF the foundation that provides scholarships, fellowships, endowments and community assistance awards to students and organizations.

We’re excited to continue pouring into our future leaders!
