It will cost ILAN more than $50,000 to send four swimmers to Rio to compete in the Paralympic Games. This is an extraordinary cost for the organization, but in line with ILAN’s belief that sports are a crucial and inseparable part of treating the disabled individual. Since 2007, ILAN has been committing resources to encourage competitive sports and granting subsidies to Paralympic athletes.

I know that you are enduring an ongoing struggle. You must never give up and continue to fight in order to win. Your will triumph as you have each shown that you are warriors. Even though it may be hard at times and nature can sometimes prove to be unkind, each of you prove the opposite and that is the victory of the mind over the body.
