This Juneteenth, we are reminded of the strength it takes to stand up against injustice.

Today, we commemorate the end of slavery and honor the resilience, achievements, and enduring cultural contributions of African Americans.

At PWJC, we recognize that violence is rooted in dynamics of power and control designed to silence, intimidate, and harm.

We remain committed to addressing these harmful patterns within relationships and families, while ensuring survivors have access to the support, resources, and safe spaces they need to heal, rebuild, and thrive.

💜 Elder abuse is a human rights issue.

On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we recognize that every older adult has the right to live with dignity, safety, respect, and independence.

Abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation are not private matters—they are violations of fundamental human rights that can have devastating consequences for older adults and their families.

At Pace Women’s Justice Center, we provide legal services and support to help older adults facing abuse and exploitation access the protections and justice they deserve. If you or someone you know needs help, call (914 422-4069.

Together, we can raise awareness, recognize the warning signs, and help protect vulnerable older adults in our communities.

💬 Elder abuse is often discussed only after harm has occurred. But prevention starts much earlier.

It starts with outreach that connects older adults with resources. Education that helps people recognize scams and exploitation. Awareness that helps communities identify warning signs. Legal services that provide support when abuse occurs. And action from all of us.

This Elder Abuse Awareness Month, we're highlighting how each of these efforts plays a role in protecting older adults and strengthening our communities.

✨ What a night. What a community. 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Cocktails for a Cause last night. Surrounded by beautiful waterfront views and an incredible community of supporters at , we were reminded of what is possible when people come together for a cause bigger than themselves.

Because of your generosity, we raised more than $20,000 to support PWJC’s free legal services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse.

We’re incredibly grateful — and we’re also incredibly close to our $25,000 goal!

If you haven't yet made a gift or are considering contributing more, it's not too late. Every contribution makes it possible for someone facing abuse to take the first step toward safety.

We want to especially thank Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, Westchester County Legislator David Imamura, our dedicated sponsors, and Host Committee Co-Chairs Amanda Rieben, Esq. and Kira Segal, Esq. for helping make this event possible. This work would not be possible without your support!

Help us cross the finish line and make waves for change. Click the donation link in our BlO. 💙

🇺🇸 PWJC offices are closed today in observance of Memorial Day as we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service.

While the long weekend brings celebration and connection for many, we also recognize that holidays can increase risk for violence, isolation, and impaired driving in our communities.

One meaningful way we can honor life this weekend is by looking out for one another.

❤️ Check in on someone you care about.
❤️ Speak up if something doesn’t feel right.
❤️ Help create spaces where people feel safe and supported.

If you or someone you know is struggling with abuse, Pace Women’s Justice Center will reopen weekdays from 9AM–5PM and can be reached at (914) 422-4069. You are not alone, and support is here when you need it 🩷
