Farrell Estates Subdivision – Planning Board Update

The Farrell Estates at Ridgeway Subdivision is on the White Plains Planning Board agenda for February 24, 2026.

The applicant will provide:

- An update on the progress of the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS)
- A presentation describing changes proposed in response to comments on the DEIS.

Important Information

-No public comment will be taken at this meeting.

-The meeting will be livestreamed.

-A recording and transcript will be posted on the City’s website.

-Meeting minutes will be adopted at the March 17, 2026 Planning Board meeting.

Once the FEIS is submitted and determined complete by the Planning Board:

-SEQR requires a 10-day written public comment period.

-That will be the formal opportunity for public comments.

Join us Sunday, Oct. 26 from 2 – 4 p.m. on Gedney Park Drive, between Gedney Esplanade and Dupont Avenue, for an afternoon of neighborhood fun!

- Costume Parade & Contest – Meet at 1:30 p.m. on Burling Avenue near Heatherbloom Road, and we’ll march together to the festival!
- Face painting & tattoos for kids
- Inflatable obstacle course
- Local vendors & fall treats
- Special visit from the White Plains Fire Department

We were honored to receive an official New York State Assembly Proclamation recognizing the Gedney Association’s century of service to White Plains!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our 100th Anniversary Celebration such a meaningful and memorable evening. With nearly 150 guests gathered at Westchester Hills Golf Club, the event was a true celebration of our neighborhood’s history and spirit.

We were honored to receive an official New York State Assembly Proclamation recognizing the Gedney Association’s century of service to White Plains. Special thanks to Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, who joined us at the event and personally presented the proclamation.

Special Thanks to White Plains High School Musicians
We’re especially grateful to Dennis Polanco, Music Director and Advisor at White Plains High School, and student performers Skyler Rosen, Emma Dognin, and Brian Guedes of the Singers & Songwriters Club for providing heartfelt live music that made the evening truly special.

Food, Fun, and Community
Guests enjoyed delicious food, dancing, a fantastic silent auction, and raffle drawings. Thank you to all who donated, bid, and participated — your support helps us carry our mission forward into the next century.

The Big Day Is Almost Here
We’re looking forward to welcoming nearly 150 guests this Thursday evening as we celebrate 100 years of the Gedney Association!

Date: Thursday, May 1
Time: 6:30PM
Location: Westchester Hills Golf Club

Silent Auction & Raffles
Our silent auction will feature something for everyone — from Mother’s Day treats and sporting events to weekend getaways, original art, flowers, and unique local experiences. We’ll also be holding several raffle drawings throughout the evening — be sure to grab a raffle booklet at the door when you arrive!

Please plan to pay by cash or check for raffle tickets and silent auction purchases. Winning auction items will be available for pickup at the end of the evening, unless otherwise noted on the bid sheet.

The cash bar will be open from 6:30 PM until last call, with bartenders accepting both cash and credit cards.

Raffle booklets will be available for purchase between 6:30 and 7:30 PM ($20 for a booklet of 5 chances).

Thank you to everyone who RSVP’d! We’re excited to celebrate with all our confirmed guests.

Farrell Estates at 400 Ridgeway (formerly Ridgeway Country Club) - Public Comment Period Still Open Until April 28

This is a major project that would bring:

-99 new homes on a 130-acre property

-New roadways and stormwater systems

-Significant environmental and community impacts

Even if you couldn’t attend the hearing, your input still matters — written comments become part of the official public record.
