A step forward....

As co-chair of the animal protection caucus, I'm thrilled that the "Beagle Bill" passed the House and Senate this week and is ready to be signed into law by the Governor. This bill will expand protections for cats and dogs used in laboratory testing, prevent state funding from being used for cruel and painful testing, and allow animals to be adopted after their time in research is over.

This beautiful hound mix is Dottie. She is 10 years old and weighs 50 pounds. She is spayed and housebroken. Dottie walks well on a leash and likes car rides. She is a total love bug. Dottie has lived with other dogs and cats. She likes children. Sadly - Dottie's mom is unable to care for her. She is heartbroken.

***SHE IS IN HER NEW GRAY PAWS HOME! Congratulations, Debbie!***
This little beauty is Princess! Look into those beautiful eyes...
She is 12 years old and weighs only 11 pounds. She is not spayed but is mostly housebroken. She is good for about 8 hours but will have an accident if longer than that. She is good with other dogs, but will chase cats. She has a mammary mass that will most likely need removed when she is spayed if she is cleared for surgery. She likes to go for walks, but will pull on the leash a little bit. She needs some training in that department. She is also a snuggle bug and leans into the love! She is okay in the car.
