Today marks an important day. On May 29, 1923, the Ute people were finally released from imprisonment in a stockade. Detained men, women, and children lived in conditions worse than war prisoners. As a result of these conditions, a young boy perished for the lack of proper treatment.
Let's take a moment to remember the resilience and strength of the Ute people during this unfortunate event in history.
