Annual event at Vanderbilt:
Organ Donor Flag Raising Event this Thursday, April 17th at 4pm at Vanderbilt Medical Center Plaza to honor donors, their families, recipients, and medical staff who care for them.

In 2012 204 lives were saved by 65 individuals at VUMC.
In 2013 261 life-saving gifts were made because of 73 individuals at VUMC.
Nearly 1,900 Tennesseans are waiting on organ transplant. Almost 100,000 people in United States are waiting (1/3 will die waiting). Visit Donatelifetn.org to find out more.

There is also a Concert at 8pm in Langford Auditorium for raising awareness. Songwriters Emerson Hart, Tonic lead singer Kevin Griffin, and singer with band Better than Ezra, David Hodges. Songs for Life tickets are $30 for general public and $20 for Vanderbilt staff, faculty, and students. Free parking at 25th ave garage on 11th floor. Shuttles available for transportation to concert. Monies raised by concert will fund a permanent donor memorial at Vanderbilt.
