This past weekend we celebrated the entire patrol, our accomplishments, and our fluffs (cause 💩 happens to all of us!) at our end of year dinner. Congrats to all of our to our award 🥇 winners. ALSO a huge THANK YOU to every single member who makes Jack Frost Ski Patrol THE BEST.

Some stats for this year: 70 patrollers, 4 candidates (and one transfer). All proactive. Knowledgeable. Dependable. Professional. Always ready to help.

344 on the hill responses, 454 total calls. Average response time about 3 minutes per call.

More than 800 total dispatches all season for not just on and off the hill first aid ⛑️, but also customer assistance, trail opening/closings, lift assistance, fencing and pad fixes, SnowCat escorts, and of course those pesky lost parents 👶! And so much more.

⭐️ 2025-26 Patroller of the Year, nominated and selected by the patrol: Howard Rosenthal
⭐️ 2025-26 Directors Award, selected by the patrol director and co-leads for outstanding effort and service: Nick Bonomo
⭐️ 2025-26 Instructor of the Year, selected by previous IOY honorees: Rob Johnston (OET Trainer/Evaluator)
⭐️ 2025-26 Top Responder/Most Days on Snow: Terry Ownes

⭐️ This year, NSP also created a new award to honor those patrollers whose instinct, training & intervention on a call prevented a potentially life-threatening situation/catastrophic outcome. NSP’s first-ever Red Merit Stars were presented to Neil Colquhoun & Alex Raub.

⭐️ Congrats to David Olsen, who was presented a National Appointment, an honor awarded to patrollers who demonstrate exceptional leadership, character, diplomacy, and service beyond the local patrol level. It is earned through nomination by peers for extraordinary, long-term contributions to the organization.

Thanks to our great leadership Rich Greene (Director) and co-leads Tom Csongradi, Tom Davis, Kim Minucci, and Dave Olsen for a great season. Thanks to our banquet (The BOZOS) organizers, Joe Landolfi, Andrew Becker, Brendan Csongradi, Martin Csongradi, and Aaron Schiller for a fun night and lots of laughs. As well as our families, friends, supervisors, and patrons!

The update you’ve all been waiting for on the missing East Mountain sign 🪧

We got asked. A LOT. The sign is getting an upgrade but it’s been slow coming. And we’re sorry. It’s just how things go sometimes.
Yeah. 🎉 You’ve been RickRolled! 🤣🤣🤣🙌

Seriously, though…we’re working on it. Try to have a great spring/summer/fall and think ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ⛷️🎿 🏂 🛷 ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

THANKS EVERYONE FOR AN EPIC SEASON! It was another awesome year, including adding four new patrollers, two new Senior OEC, and a few OET instructors. AND lots of great snow ❄️ !

More importantly—we got to interact with so many of our wonderful visitors and season pass holders.

From handing out bandaids 🩹 to safely getting injured patrons off the slopes ⛷️ 🏂 to finding some pesky lost parents 👼 🤣 to sharing a coffee ☕️ to giving conditions updates ❄️, know that is here for you all to make your time at the best upside down mountain in the Poconos, THE BEST.

Countdown 🔄 to the 2026-27 season is underway…about 36 weeks to go!

See you all soon 👋!!

Last Saturday on the mountain—overcast ☁️ and raw with a stiff wind 💨. Our groomers worked their magic so conditions are decent for anyone who likes a good soft ❄️ Pocono spring day.
