In our state, 1 in 4 children under the age of 5 is living in poverty.

That is more than a statistic. It is a child who may not have enough food, a safe place to live, or the support they need to grow and thrive.

Through our Together for West Virginia campaign, you can help change that. Your support provides food, shelter, and care for families working hard to build a better future for their children.

When we come together, we can make sure more children have the strong start they deserve.

Together for West Virginia. Real stories. Real impact. Love in action.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

A single mother, expecting her fifth child, had worked hard to rebuild her life. She had steady housing, a job, and was training to become a peer recovery support specialist. But a $1,700 car repair threatened everything she had worked for.

She reached out for help, and her community showed up.

The Hampshire County Family Support Center brought together local churches, the Salvation Army, a new benevolence program, and Catholic Charities West Virginia. Together, we were able to meet the need and get her back on the road.

This is what it looks like when a community comes together.

Your support helps make stories like this possible, bringing stability, dignity, and hope when itโ€™s needed most.

We're grateful to share that Catholic Charities West Virginia President & CEO, Mark Phillips, will be serving on the Region 1 Expert Panel for the upcoming West Virginia First Foundation(WVFF) Virtual Public Listening Session on June 16.

This is an important opportunity for community members, local leaders, and organizations across Brooke, Hancock, Ohio, Marshall, and Wetzel counties to learn more about WVFF funding initiatives, ask questions, and share ideas that can help strengthen our communities and support recovery efforts throughout the region.

We encourage anyone interested in the future of these resources and investments to join the conversation and make their voice heard.

Memorial Day gives us a reason to pause.

We remember those who gave their lives in service, and we hold their families in our thoughts. Their sacrifice is part of our shared story, carried quietly in the life of our communities.

Today, we take a moment to be grateful and to care a little more deeply for one another.โค๏ธ
