From spring through fall, ACP Illinois has stood with USW Local 7-1 in its fight against an illegal lockout. Day and night, our members have joined the picket line in support of locked-out workers. Yesterday, we also donated hundreds of diapers to help families weather the struggle.

ACP Illinois is putting in the work to improve our communities- cleaning up public spaces, removing invasive species, and clearing out weeds.

This May Day weekend, ACP Illinois and ACP Wisconsin did more than just march in remembrance of those who fought before us. We took things a step further, honoring their legacy by serving the people with concrete action: restoring a natural area for our neighbors to enjoy, and standing shoulder to shoulder with workers of USW Local 7-1 who’ve been illegally locked out of the BP oil refinery in Whiting, Indiana.

This Saturday, ACP Illinois’s cadre mobilized at Steelworkers Park to seed new growth, clear litter, and mulch trees, keeping the park clean and in good shape for the community.
